Running an errand this morning I spotted a bird perched on a dead tree. I was too far away to see what the bird was. It was still there as I returned so I stopped the car and trained the 400mm on it. I think it's a buzzard. I've posted lots of shots of buzzards in flight before but never one perched.

Another damp and grey day. Kes kept me company as I walked at Lodge Farm this afternoon and I got grainy shots of him. The Epping Green deer crew were resting under a hedge in the distance. I got a couple of images of a brown blob in the middle of a field, thinking but not really believing that it might be a hare. When I enlarged it on screen it was indeed a hare, as far as I can judge in very bad condition, poor thing. :(
