Seals......
......by street artist Tess Sheerin.
The work is part of Sheerin's 'nationwide pollution awareness tour'. She has completed a mural of a Rainbow Trout in Queenstown and a Crested Penguin in Dunedin. She plans to create a Dolphin mural in Wellington and a crayfish artwork in Auckland. She wants the public artworks to send an environmental message. Another new mural for Christchurch.
Thanks to Steveng for hosting Wide Angle Wednesday, The theme is history but I went with the street art instead.
Mum had an appointment in the city, it was extremely hot, 32C but look at the blue sky - tis summer! When we came over the old Waimakariri bridge there were many in the river cooling off. Unfortunately nowhere to stop and no footpath for taking a shot, so we continued on. Those in the know about weather are saying these few hot days are the entree for next week! We'll all be cooling off in the river or under a hose :)
Wednesday........too hot to be thinking, hope it's been a good one for all :)
