Belated celebration

This rose was bought at the beginning of the year and it is called 'Jubilee Celebration'.
It was actually brought out for the golden jubilee but I decided to get it as I had admired it in a garden I pass regularly on my walk to the village.

Chris wanted a standard and when I looked into it was told they wouldn't be available until November. So I ordered it anyway and it arrived within a week!

The trouble is it hasn't flowered until now! I brought in one bud just before the recent frost and it has opened into a beautiful bloom. It is slightly scented too

Here is another that might just make it, dripping from the early morning rain.
