The Eye of the Beholder

I know you have heard it said that the beauty of art is in the 'eye of the beholder'

I came across this painted cow in a field...and couldn't resist not to look a little closer. At first I was a little unsure of its appeal..but I grew to like it. The proud, bold stance of the bull, the strong colors, the imitation of Picasso art,  and the satirical message. Now you add the composition of the picture- a fantastic feel of the current winter season with snow and a gray clouded background, an upward projection, and depth of field..it really becomes a unique canvas with a story that sets a mood. So this is MY perception of art, within someone else's art.

Now what about us? When you meet someone that is different than you and you may feel anxious because they may be more colorful, louder, quieter, or whatever it may be, what do you do to change your perception to make them beautiful 'art' in your life? Its easy to move on from someone if you feel uncomfortable, but why not stay in that moment a little longer and find something in common that will make you both shine.
