The Pills' Power, Maidstone

After yet another period of wet weather the sun finally came out again today so it was off and out with my camera today. What I have noticed on my walks is the sheer amount of detritus on the edge of paths, in the undergrowth, up in the trees, in streams and rivers. So much plastic that once you start looking you see it everywhere (see extra shots 1 & 2) - strangely it can sometimes look beautiful or make for an arresting image yet I know in reality it causes terrible environmental problems. The sheer scale of rubbish I saw today was very depressing.
The main shot was of graffiti sprayed on an electricity sub-station. I took it as it reminded me of the articles I've read recently about how more and more people are becoming addicted to prescription drugs. I can imagine how easy that can happen - especially if you are in chronic pain and very powerful drugs like fentanyl are or were prescribed to you.
