Cardrona Hotel

This is the world famous (in New Zealand) Cardrona Hotel. It's the poster hotel for Speights Ale and the home of the Southern Man.

We stopped here on our way to Te Anau. A windy road with intermittant rain. Lunch was yum and it was good to stop at a place I've driven past many times.

It's historic (for New Zealand) you know?

Arrived in Te Anau and were treated to a lovely cloud and sun dance. This float plane was the cherry on the top.
