Sitting up

Managed to snap Rhona sitting all by herself while she was giving her new teething toy a good chew. She has been practising her sitting all week. She can sit on the sofa with a cushion each side for quite a while but while sitting unsupported, she can manage up to 5 seconds before collapsing sideways, forwards or backwards. She is coming on and has rolled a few times from tummy to back and rolls onto her side alot from her back, but needs help to get all the way over. When on her tummy she can bring her legs up so her bum goes in the air, but her face plonks onto the floor when she does it!

Euan has a cold today and slept with me from 4 this morning. I could hear him snuffling away until we got up at 7.45. He drank 2 cups of juice before his milk too so he must have been doing alot of mouth breathing overnight. I was going to go to cinebabies so that Euan could watch the new Madagascar movie but he was a bit grouchy with his cold so I gave up on that idea and we went up to have a bath at the Greats. Great gran and I struggled with a knitting pattern and eventually figured it out. It was all knitted by the Greats but Gran doesn't like picking up stiches for the collar and button holes so I do that bit. I just couldn't figure it out though but after a bit of discussion, I realised I had to do a bit of sewing first and it should all come right. Fingers crossed!

Martin is due home tomorrow so trying to get the washing up to date and some stuff put away. Will hopefully get it done tonight so I can relax in the morning with the wee ones. Think it won't be until mid November that he goes away again so that will be good to have him home again for a few weeks.
