Gently down the stream

Lichens

This morning I went out in the sunshine to blip mosses and, in particular, lichens, down on the Moors.  I have never seen them there in such quantity or beauty.  The whole reserve is festooned with them.  Here are a few.  To take this shot I had to dress the legs of my tripod in plastic bags so they could stand in the water :-/

In Extras is a young swan I met on the path going home.  She reminded me of some character out of Beatrix Potter.

Enjoy your evening, all  xx
