Waiting
The temperature today was in the high 20s or low 30s; and there was almost no breeze. Not a day for doing much. Reading mostly, and in between times doing some of the jigsaw puzzle I started just before the Tsukens left. I had had some trouble with the edge, and a number of times I had to shift around the edge bits as I had got them wrong. However, progress was good. (See the extra)
Late afternoon we visited friends, and G wanted to know what are the birds which seem to be wanting to come close to their verandah. They are hedge sparrows. And why they want to approach the house is that they have chicks in nests under the eaves. The chicks were frantically calling as this adult female sat in the nearby tree, waiting for a chance to whip in and feed one, at least.
