The Library of Birmingham.

A morning out in town with my pal Renee; we escaped the wind and the rain inside the library, which is a lovely place.

The extra photo is of all the construction works taking place in Centenary Square and towards Paradise Forum, as was, from the library's balcony. We didn't linger on the balcony though as it was proper chilly.

However, I still miss John Madin's Brutalist masterpiece that was Birmingham Central Library. Shame it's gone, but not forgotten.
