Just the day for...

..swimming in an outside pool.

Well actually it was, because I for one  love the sensation of swimming in the warm water of the outdoor pool at Portavadie when it is blowing a gale and the mist is down on the hills.

In fact at one stage today there were not only white horses on the loch, there were also the signs of them in the pool from time to time as gusts of wind whipped up the surface which you can just about see in this picture  which was taken as we were leaving. 

My extra photo from inside the warm and very pleasant cafe , where we had lunch after our swim indoors and out , also shows what it was like. 

I haven't been over to Portavadie for a swim for ages but Cathleen has now joined the Leisure Club so it seems sensible to join her occasionally in what is a fabulous facility.
