Goodbyes...

Today was a difficult day.

We drove down to Dumfriesshire for the funeral service of my very dear friend, Bev, who was killed a couple of days before Christmas.

These last 5 weeks have been very difficult. Imagining a world without her is unthinkable.

Her service was both beautiful and heartbreaking. Stories of her life interspersed with some lovely music (Talking Heads, The Fall, Nina Simone...). There were many tears, but also some laughter.

The rest of the day was spent with her friends and family, swapping stories, hugs and dancing to her favourite tunes.

She would have loved to see so many folk dancing to such a great mix of music.
