A Sea Snack

I gathered sea anemones (beadlets) from the rocks along the coast and here they are being fried by my wonderful hostess. I was the only one inclined to eat them. They were not bad but not so interesting either. The olive oil and garlic gave the taste, and the texture was that of a soft sea creature. It's the kind of food that one can say "tastes like chicken," which is a polite way of saying it has no taste.

I was briefly sick and lost my supper a few hours later, but I also had some suspicious (according to Ceridwen) sea scallops and manila clams in the same sitting as these anemones, not wanting to waste them. Who knows which food offended? Not I.

This was a good and tasty day for all. Windy too!
