The Newcomers

I spent the day teaching the finer points of orienteering - travelling on a bearing,  bearing off, attack points etc to the newest members of our club.  They told me they had had such a good time,  they wanted their photo taken by this hide.   This means the turkey tail fungus has been relegated to an extra.   I was very impressed with their attitude. Not just that they enjoyed wandering around Limpsfield Chart on compass bearings which often meant negotiating brashings and brambles but  they told me about the holiday they have planned in Croatia. A 100km trek over 5 days carrying their camping stuff and all their food. And their ages - M75 and W65. Good on them!!!
