Extreme Weather

The lecture at the RGS this evening was about Extreme Weather. I didnt fancy going 'cos it was a cold night outside (Boom! Boom!).

But I forced myself out and was pleased I did because the speaker said that  our weather is getting more extreme (the clue is in the lecture title-BlipCentral). But more importantly he said that we are not necessarily doomed and that there are things we can do about it if we don't delay. I like the talks that end on an optimistic note. That way I don't feel the urge to jump in the Serpentine on the way home.

And what's more, the bus arrived promptly to take me back up to Marble Arch. I got home in time for University Challenge but couldn't answer a single question.
