Jarl Squad 2018

The Norse Gods were smiling on Jarl King Hakkon Longlegs  (aka Jarl Stewart Jamieson) this morning as the rain stopped as he and his squad of vikings paraded through Lerwick. Hopefully it will be dry for the burning of the galley this evening but I am now a fairweather Up Helly A burning visitor so will give it a miss this year.  Hundred's of tourists about today and most were smiling and seemingly enjoying the spectacle.
