Day out In Durham

We always enjoy our holidays, and this one is no exception. We are just back from a great day in Durham. We spent a long time in the cathedral, which is so beautifullt located in a 'loop' of The River Wear. We particularly liked The Cloisters as shown here. We were also lucky enough to catch a lunchtime concert, performed by a military band-they were excellent and the accoustics as you might imagine are the very best.
Managed a little shopping too, which to us is a pleasure as we rarely have time to shop en famille.
