Bonus treat

Awoke this morning to very low water pressure in the house and news of a number of burst water pipes and closed roads. The kids’ old primary school was also closed so the friend I was meeting had to change her plans. Which gave me a good couple of hours without the need to be anywhere in particular. I sensibly ignored the long to-do list, bought a paper and went to my local coffee shop. I also called on a neighbour to make some further street socialising plans and we opportunistically took a tour of a very broken down, enormous house on our street that has never had any work done on it. In fact it’s just occurred to me it didn’t have a bathroom...

Though I suppose if we keep having water problems (this is the second time in a week) it won’t matter if any of us have bathrooms.

I slightly feel like I’ve paid for my leisurely start with running around like a lunatic for the rest of the day but it was worth it.

Now for an evening helping at a school production of School of Rock. Really hoping that will be worth it...
