Celebration (Day 998)

According to blip, this is my 1825th entry and as such is my blip birthday. The real anniversary is the 2nd of February, but today is the date which will be marked.
Blip has become an increasingly important part of my life. I waffle on about my day, and the things which have happened and sometimes I post a reasonable picture. Throughout my day, whatever I am doing, the need to find something to blip is always at the back of my mind.
I came to blip at a dark point in my life. I was told I would never keep it up. I wouldn't manage a single picture every day. Five years on I am wondering what to blip tomorrow.
I have documented the hard times, and some of the best times in my life, and recorded the most amazing part of my life - meeting my  beautiful wife and our life together.
Perhaps my journal is much more personal than most. Perhaps it is much more of a diary than that of others. However, this is the way I choose to use my little corner of Blip - it has saved my life one day at a time.
To all of you who comment, star, fave or just plough through the details of my day, thank you all. Your support has been invaluable. To the friends I have made here in this special place, I hope one day to meet you all.

Today's pic? I collected a special bottle of Highland Park whisky today. Released to commemorate 150 years of the Stromness Lifeboat. I have a huge respect for the RNLI and their incredible bravery. It seemed right to get this bottle. It isn't for drinking though. It will be kept safe.

(The weather today has been horrible, and I spent most of the day swapping a shower enclosure after the original one had been broken.)
