Dipper

There was a shadow in the field in front if the house when I left at 0620 this morning. It looked odd, and as I walked to the car I realised the moon was making the house cast a shadow on the field - it was incredibly bright.

I was in central Edinburgh, drinking coffee, by 10am :)

I went out looking for a kingfisher, but found this dipper instead. Its odd behaviour under the water caught my attention - I thought it was an injured blackbird at first. It's the first time I have seen one, so it made my day. In extra (if I can attach it) it's white throat appear heart shaped when grooming.
