Lots of good walking today, and I went to a photographic exhibition on "Childhood" at The National Portrait Gallery. The most striking picture, for me, was of a display of giant cod at Glasgow fish market in the 1910s. The cod weighed up to 35 kg each, and were hung on racks. Beside them were 3 boys, all wearing standard work coats, caps and black shoes...and they were aged 4 and a half, seven and ten years. Hard to believe that a four year old could work in a fish market.

This is the top of Scotland Street as the sun went down, and the extra is Amy at the bottom of it.
