Fungi

I went outside to pick some basil and spotted many of these little fungi all over the lawn. The product of heavy dew and warm days and nights I suppose. The 'hat' looks like it has been knitted in knit one, purl one rib.
The lawn badly needs mowing :-(

I have a tray of cherry tomato halves, sprinkled with fresh basil, thyme, oregano and garlic oil, in the oven, slowly drying. The smell of the herbs and garlic is driving me wild - I am going to have to go and eat something.
