The rise and fall . . .
A gorgeous day today after a sharpish frost. We popped out for lunch at Poppies (!) and then went on to Tralee Bay for a short walk.
On the way back we stopped in the lay-by just south of Benderloch and I walked along the old railway track and down on to the beach. In spite of having driven past countless times I'd never been on the beach here - only further up from the footpath in Benderloch itself.
It's below that huge conglomerate cliff just south of Benderloch and some of the rock is on the beach - and has been, I assume, since before the days of the railway, the embankment of which can be seen in my extra. What a wonderful train ride that would have been!
The sea was calm with a very gentle swell, and as the water rose and fell so the kelp was exposed and covered in turn. Thought it would make a change from a boat Blip!
