No crowds

Super Bowl Sunday is probably the best shopping day of the year - the vast majority of folks are watching the game, so that those of us who do not follow football have the streets and stores to ourselves.  I drove down to the big QFC store near Carkeek Park and spent a long time and a lot of money (for me) strolling through the uncrowded aisles.  

Then, because it wasn't raining, I made a quick stop at the park on my way home, and was pleased to see all the signs of new life there, such as this crowd of new leaves springing up.
