Hot aches...
Despite the blossom and sunshine, the sky seemed full of snow.
Indeed it was snowing for most of the morning.
Not the kind of 'get your wellies on, we're going to make a snowman, snow', but more the kind of laid back, drifty-roundy snow. The kind where you can spot a snowflake and watch it float its gentle way down, and then back up....And around a while...
As though it's carefully composing a poem.
I went outside with the camera, a bit like the character 'Pigpen' from Peanuts (except it was germs I was exuding).
The robins made no appearance.
Most unusual.
I grew concerned and went for a wander, thinking, 'I'll give them an opportunity to spot me'. (Because a gallumphing, sneezing, woman in a bobble hat, carrying a bright red stool needs a bit of careful tracking?).
I caught up with the robin (or... 'A' robin?) at the bottom of the garden.
I think (?) it was one of the usual crew because it posed and then followed me back to our usual spot. Who knows?
I might have mentioned before that I feel there are a couple of pairs of robins.. I have (in idle procrastinating moments) looked back over the images, and fancy I see different birds, with the odd white feather in different places. Certainly the 'cap' seems very slightly different, which I believe is the difference between males and females?
Anyway, by way of a change, I give you cheer, in the form of blossom.
I stayed out so long that I experienced 'hot aches' for the first time in ages :-(
Finally, Happy Birthday to anyone celebrating today.
(And to a certain eleven year old in particular.
Your present is on the way, and I promise it has nothing to do with photography!).
