Another bird

I think perhaps I should start another account with just birds as there seems to be a theme at the moment ;) It’s not everyday I get to see the sparrow hawk resting in the sun but it came down this morning and sat on the pot and I managed a few shots through the window.
I noticed that the moon was just setting behind the horses.
It was a lovely start so Richard asked if I wanted to go for a ride and a walk somewhere as it was his day off.We went to Strathpeffer hoping to buy lunch from the Deli but it was closed and the roadworks were still there so the road was closed which meant we could nt get to any of the places where we wanted to walk so we went back to Dingwall.Richard bought our lunch from the bakers and we went down to Ferrypoint for a walk.It was freezing cold ! The robins, chaffinches and blackbirds were happy to eat the nuts I had brought with me. We watched a kestrel hunting in the field, the first I’ve seen here.
Back to the car and home to have an early Roast dinner :)
