A Year in Phnom Penh

Street Life

Looking down on the street from our roof, life is pretty quiet at 8.30 in the evening apart from the occasional passing tuk tuk and the tinny noise of a trashy movie being watched by Borat the 'security guard' (loose use of the term given that he slept through burglars breaking in to the flat below - they climbed right over him) on his mobile phone, whose legs are sticking into the bottom right of the picture.

The beer garden down the road is closed as part of the 7 day mourning period following the death of the King Father, Sihanouk.
