The King

We did the sunrise and sunset safaris today. We were fortunate to see the lions on the hills from the lodge and when we set of on this evenings outing we drove around until we found them. They'd just had a kill and a couple were dozing, blood on the mouth and paws whilst another was eating at the carcass under a bush.

Later we saw this old Male lion with its lioness that were lazing in the cool weather. I'm told this old male is particulary beautiful as its mane is dark.

Another I like from today is the hippo photo (see extra). Unusual in that we saw this hippo walk a distance to the lake - normally they only get out at night when it's cooler so a bit of an unusual sight.
