IKEA
Ever since the Minx and miniMinx painted and generally spruced up Abi's bedroom, she has been nagging me to take her to Ikea. Unfortunately, until the Ikea in Preston is completed, it's a fairly long round trip to either Leeds or Warrington. I told Abi that if we were going to go, it'd have to be straight after I dropped Dan at work, thinking that would put her off but she readily agreed to sacrifice her lie-in. Curses.
So, just before half-eight, this morning, the three of us set off to Morecambe to drop Dan off at work, after which Abi and I continued down the M6 to Warrington. We arrived at Ikea just after opening time but the car park was already alarmingly full. (Maybe it opens earlier than I thought?)
The trip through the labyrinthine store was fairly standard and fortunately there weren't too many mirrors to choose from, this purchase being Abi's main argument for the trip and therefore the most likely focus for her indecisiveness. I just grabbed odds and sods as we went through, in a manner that would cause the clutter-avoiders to clench.
After only just managing to fit the mirror in the car and having swung by Chorley so I could get my hair cut, we made it home where I created this installation at a total cost of two pounds.
