Casting In The Waves

An early morning surf expedition to Playa Linda resulted in a lot of time on the beach taking photos as I wasn't quite ready to take my new board into the pounding waves. Carlos easily got past the breaking waves, but I chose to stay on shore. He didn't catch very many waves, at least when I was watching, so I turned to other subjects like this fisherman casting his net. Oftentimes they are neck deep in the ocean casting for fish, but this man never got in above his waist, and who can blame him looking at the surf. I don't know if those big waves wash in any fish, but they make a nice background to this man and his extended net.
