Spotlight On The Food
We are back today helping our neighbor, and owner of one of our favorite Zihuatanejo restaurants, get good photographs of his food. Lots to do before the start of tourist season (menu updates, revise website, new photos), but this was by far the most fun. He cooked a variety of dishes that he wants to feature and after finishing the photography, we got to eat them! Onion soup, Thai salad, muscles in white wine with bacon, and spaghetti alla puttanesca (shown here). Delicious all!
I wanted the focus to be on the food this time rather than the overall environment as I had previously photographed. I tried a little tighter framing and some creative lighting techniques learned from an online class a couple of months ago. Don't know how everything will integrate in the end, but we will have plenty of images from which to choose.
