New Improved Bridge

Some while ago I blipped this footbridge which had been in that neglected state for many years - an accident waiting to happen.


Today on our foray through the woods we discovered that the bridge now sports a ‘safety’ fence - on one side only! Don’t fall the other way mind.

This shot is taken from the opposite side to my previous blip and shows a newly fenced in pathway and a new gate at the roadside. Unfortunately the mud on the new path was up to the top of my boots - so I don’t think we will be making much use of it in the near future.

The ground off to the right is where they cleared all the trees last year to accommodate a rerouted power line. They have now planted dozens of new saplings - so hopefully the wood will start to recover.

More fabric packing for madwill this afternoon - this time they are 2.5” squares instead of 5” - 64 packs of 50 pieces! Fiddly doesn’t do it justice!
