The little barn

We did not get up early this morning to go skiing - the visibility was not great and the forecast was for snow in the afternoon. After breakfast we went for a walk up the valley, while Thomas stayed to do some work. We came across the Swiss Cup races, a cross country skiing competition with competitors from Switzerland and abroad, which we watched for a while before continuing our walk. On our way back we came across a paragliding competition whereby paragliders were jumping off a nearby mountain and trying to land in a small marked circle on the snow in a field below! Some got right in the circle and some were way off!

This is a scene we came across on our walk. Everything looked colourless today in the flat light and low clouds so converting it to black and white seemed the best choice. 

Just after lunch two of Thomas' friends who are staying with us arrived - we collected them from the station and then took them home. Gavin and I went out for a coffee this afternoon and other than that it has been a quiet day. 

Now we are cooking a chicken curry for supper and having a quiet night at home.
