Wilhelm II and The Hohenzollernbrucke .....
..... and a tree!
Arrived in Cologne to around 22 degrees C (72 deg F) after leaving a wet and dull Stansted! Did what had to be done and then went into the city for lunch - pavement cafe, great food, sit outside in mid-October - priceless!!
This is a lovely tree down by the banks of the River Rhine and you can see the statue of Wilhelm II (by Raimond Spekking 1910) and the Hohenzollern Bridge behind.
Back to the airport mid-afternoon, plane delayed, arrived 2 hours late in Stansted to teeming rain and fog, M11 and A14 verrrrrrry slow and it took me over three and a half hours to drive 90 miles ...... grrrrrrrrr ........ but I had a great lunch, a good day and got to go to Germany again (and paid too) so not all bad!
Thank you for all your lovely comments, stars and hearts on a Rose Reflected!
