Better weather!

Even though the weather looked better this morning, the shuttle buses for the Tongariro Crossing hike were cancelled again so the conditions up high must still have been pretty bad.

Anyway we couldn't really have done the hike today as we had to drive about 200 miles to Wellington. Most of the way we had lovely sunshine. I liked this view from our picnic stop as I felt it was quite typical of the scenery we were driving through. We did see a train on the railway line but only after it was too late to re-take the photo.

I've put today's extra on the page mainly for fellow blipper LooseCanon as a warning of what can happen if you get too engrossed in DIY. It was outside a hardware store in the town of Levin where we stopped for a mid-afternoon cuppa.
