Heading to Africa!
Not quite.........
So, for my birthday decided to go on a trip which included a camel ride. Well, it wasn't really sitting on top, it was on a basket at the side, which was fine. My one was Maria, a nice gentle beast, no spitting or biting.
The tour guide was as good as any comedian I have heard. When we were driving through the national park his patter had the bus in stitches.
For dinner, I decided to go back to the same restaurant as I was at yesterday for lunch. They serve all types of fresh fish, and I figured I wouldn't get a fish bone twice in the same week so whatever fish it was I had it was amazing, one of the best meals I have ever had.
It was strange sitting there, thinking back to a year previous when my husband had surprised me with tickets to see Rave On, a Buddy Holly show (well obviously not him as he is dead), and how if Mystic Meg had told me that in 1 year's time Trisha you will be sitting in a restaurant in a foreign country eating the best fish dish ever, I would have thought - crank!
It was fine, apart from one moment when a song came on the sound system that I had a little sniffle to. It was a Daniel Bedingfield song that was on our wedding photos dvd that the photographer had chosen, but the words were so lovely that we were glad he had picked this song. So obviously this song has happy memories, so that's why I had a little tear.
If your not the one
I don't know why you're so far away
But I know that this much is true
We'll make it through
And I hope you are the one I share my life with
And I wish that you could be the one I die with
And I pray in you're the one I build my home with
I hope I love you all my life
So you can see why I had a tear. Because I truly wanted it to be "all my life".
Anyway, life goes on, the song changed, and I changed too, back to enjoying the evening and the pleasure of eating outdoors in October.
