High and Dry

I shouldn't feel out of the swim of things today like this boat at Cockenzie harbour.
It's Saturday, it's the weekend and hey, we should be off doing exciting things, and going exciting places.

Instead after a slow start when the rain couldn't make up its mind whether to keep company with us or not, we thought to drive down to North Berwick for some sea air, but then got sidetracked at Port Seton.

A cup of tea by the harbour and a look round the thrift shop, and suddenly North Berwick with it Saturday congestion seemed too much effort, so we came home, albeit with a new trouser press costing £5 from the charity shop.

I feel that it's a certain kind of man who presses his breeks thus, but each to his own, and his Lordship is ridiculously pleased with his purchase which replaces the defunct one he already owns.

Perhaps it's just as well to have a breathing space today, as I'm being threatened by a cycle run tomorrow, but carrying the spare car keys this time, in case of locking out disasters at far flung spots.
