Another place ..............

This is Crosby Beach, the setting for Antony Gormleys modern sculptures entitled Another Place.
There are 100 cast iron life size men , set at various depths along 2 miles of beach all looking out to sea. As the tide goes out, they are exposed in all their glory, as the water returns, they are gradually immersed, until they are invisible.
Despite the overcast skies, which eventually turned blue, it was mild and calm.
In this picture you can see several of the iron men, with Liverpool docks and the City in the background. If you look hard enough you will see the famous Liver Building, and the Cathedral.
