Warning, this image is distressing!

Felt sorry and horribly helpless when I saw this today. I don't anything about angling, so I don't know if this is caused by carelessness. Apparently it had been reported several times and an expert had been called to attempt to capture the bird and free it from the hook. Saddest bit was that the poor bird was being harassed by the others- how like humans they are in picking on difference and weakness.
