Windswept!

A lovely day in Shropshire. As Van Man was feeling better, we managed a quick cycle into Shrewsbury this morning before the wind got up and it really was great to be out. Café stop for a bacon buttie was good incentive as well. We warmed up in the spa at the hotel when we got back - although the baby class in the pool rather altered the atmosphere!

This afternoon, we met up with the dog-nephew, human niece and brother -in -law  for a blowy and steep walk up Carding Mill Valley. It was windy on the tops but it was just what we all needed and again we were  incentivised - this time by a pint at the bottom.

This evening Van Man and I ate at Dough and Oil, a very cool and pleasingly independent pizza place in Shrewsbury. They made us very welcome and the food and wine were excellent. A great end to a break that has achieved its aim.
