the view
This, and prepare yourself to be very jealous, is the view from the front window of my friend's house. If ever there is a time to use the word awesome (and to be honest, it shouldn't happen often) it's when you see mountains like the rockies. Huge. Spectacular. Awesome.
Last night was a great laugh: dinner, chat and then endless guitar playing, jamming out pretty much anything we could think of. So much so, my fingers were pretty sore in the morning.
Up early (another 2h time zone difference meant a 4am wakeup), caught up on e-mail, breakfast, read some stories, went out for a run (took the anti-bear spray); this is the view from the foot of the trail.
Many, many thanks to Stevie and Aoife for letting me stay; I had a great time!
With a little time to kill, headed further west to Lake Louise: in a nutshell, it was snowing and in cloud.
Headed back down the road in plenty of time to get to the airport for the hop back to Montreal via Toronto. What I hadn't taken into account was the piss-poor traffic through Calgary... I mean, the trans-Canada becomes a regular street for what seems like forever. And at that point, dear reader, I will leave the story. Until tomorrow...
