Coming down

the mountain today.  Sad to leave Wayanad Wild - it is such a relaxing place with delightful staff who could not be more helpful.  The journey down was interesting - a one way road with very few passing places and lorries coming up. Pramod, our driver, made light work of it all bless him. The trip to Cochin was made longer due to a strike/march that closed the main road so we were pushed down smaller roads along with all the other traffic. Chaotic and added a couple of hours to our journey. Thankfully we arrived safely, if late and settled into the hotel before enjoying a splendid dinner. Bed beckons.
