Sally Mair - Loving life

Arabian Nights

Today I awoke in a fairy tale...first the sound of a bell on the street drew me to the window.
There are often bells on the street as people come round with barrows doing everything from selling food items to collecting rubbish. To my delight though, this bell was around the neck of an elephant out for a stroll in the cool of the morning.
I did think that the two boys in charge of a free walking elephant seemed very young, but perhaps I am just getting old!
A quick couple of pics then back in to finish dressing and going down for breakfast.

The next sound just as I was going in downstairs, was a man shouting, I looked around and he had a barrow full of rugs... He smiled at me, "new for old Madam, exchange" he said. It made me think of Aladdin's lamp.
