One Crowded Hour

Up early and off to the farmers market on a beautiful day.
46 stalls!! in total with the usual veggie stands and some new ones for me...I haven't been for ages...including:
-a coffee roaster ( and selling his coffee in delicious brews)
-olive oil and guinea fowl egg seller (bantam size, huge yolks) and he sells the young fowl to vineyards as they are insectivores and keep the vines (and his olive groves) clear of bugs
-ready for the oven Italian dishes
-HUGE white asparagus spears and very plump green and purple (and an invitation to visit the farm!)
-American baker selling proper (her word) bagels and delicious they look
- pots of creamy milk and cherry yoghurt

and the heirloom tomato lady giving away handfuls of salad seedlings.

This young lady however was the 'pick of the crop'. A cross Siberian Husky x Border Collie (hence the somewhat wierd name.)
The 'blue shorts and shoes' legs belong to her dad and she is one of 7!! in their family. The big boys and girls are raced in sled teams (no snow but a big sport here in Aus on bush tracks) and junior here loves to 'work'. So they take her shopping on a Sunday with her saddle bags.

What a star.
Wonder what the Flynnster would think of this??
