Funeral flowers

My youngest brother arrived early to drive mum dad and I through the rain up to Leicestershire to a family funeral. The cremation service was first, for close family, then the wider friends and family met a tiny church in Cranoe for a thanksgiving service and afterwards back to their farm for tea, wine, sandwiches and the best sausage rolls I have ever tasted!
We popped in to a care come to see dad's godmother, aged 98, on the way home. Her mind is very sharp, but unfortunately she's very deaf, so communication was difficult and she admitted that she hoped she was putting all the yes, no's and laughs in the right places!
Home again through pouring rain, and an early night I think.
