The tower on Leith Hill

Matt & Rachel went out to work, and I had a leisurely start. I pottered up the High Street and back, and was picked up for a lunch outing by my friends Fiona & John, and their lab, Millie (who you can see in the photo).
We went to the Plough at Leith, about 3 miles from here, and afterwards took Millie for a walk to the top of Leith Hill.
From up there you can clearly see Canary Wharf to one side and the South Downs to the other, and Gatwick airport off in the distance.
The tower is over 250 years old, and John and I climbed to the top. There is only a narrow spiral staircase and people were going in both directions, so it was a bit cramped, but had great views from the top.
