Bathtime Baby
I've been rubbish with Blip of late.
I stayed home today, as I just couldn't face a day of Inset training and driving somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
I did try to appease my guilt by doing some school work at home, including finishing the mid-year reports we have to send home in a week or so.
It rained all day, and just as I was getting a bit bored, and remembering why it is in fact good to go to work as it gives you something to do, Shelle put out an SOS to see if anybody wanted to help bath Lucy, so I volunteered.
It was nice, she was in a good mood, all smiley and happy when I got there. Bit of a mini-crisis when Mama realised Lucy had no clean PJ's to wear! Her laundry basket is filled to the brim, I kept saying " I just want to come over and do your laundry for you!". I think it's because she insisted on another Bosch washer/dryer rather than having them separate. We did say that once she arrived she might be grateful to have both in order to turn things around quickly, but she knows best! Poor Lucy at 15 weeks was popped into a 9-12 months blue flowery suit that was miles too big for her but she didn't seem to mind ;-)
Lucy loves her bath, happily splashes and allows herself to washed. The drying of herself she likes less so!
She wasn't into her books, so I just cuddled her in the kitchen while Shelle got the Vanish out and put said laundry on, and a few yawns later she was ready for being rocked to sleep. We had a good chat whilst she fell asleep.
