Prevailing Winds

The prevailing winds here on the South Downs above Lewes are usually from the south west - as demonstrated by this tree - but today there is a cold blast from the east funnelling right down through Bible Bottom (the earth banks of the medieval stock enclosure at the end of the dry valley resembles an open book).
