Another Ending

SWMBO, Bags and I were through in Govan this morning for another funeral.
It is a year ago we were through there for Jim's - today it was his wife Janet's.
We were neighbours for over 26 years, moving in a week or two after them.
It was Janet's dementia and Jim's failing health and inability to look after her that meant they had to move closer to family.
Jim died within a month or so of SWMBO's step father and Janet within a few days of her mother - so today was particularly emotional.Jim's man-cave and growing emporium and Janet's  refuge in the garden haven't been used at all since they left.

I think I will away and open my rare (and expensive) bottle of whisky (which came from one of their sons' company) and raise a toast to much missed parents everywhere.

Another ending that came as a shock was the 25 -13 Scotland win over England in the Calcutta Cup.
