Overcast walk on beach

We walked down the steep hill to the beach today. We nearly aborted our walk as it was drizzling when we came out the compound. We decided on a shorter circuit avoiding the beach, but fortunately the drizzle stopped so we resumed our original planned walk.

To get to the beach you have to walk across the footbridge which spans the A7 coastal road. We went to our nearest beach and were delighted to find the local "Chiringuito" (beach bar) was open. It was already closed for the winter when we were here in November and we never managed to get to the beach on our two previous visits as we were so busy working on the apartment. Anyway we decided to have a coffee there. The staff were very friendly and that today was their opening day and gave us free cakes to celebrate! We are going for lunch there tomorrow. So I already know that tomorrow's blip will be my paella! !!

After coffee we continued our walk along the beach and then crossed back across the next bridge up and walked back up thru the urbanisation next to ours (the hill doesn't seem quite as steep there!) And there is a park with seats for a rest on the way back up. Glad the drizzle cleared up and let us have a very enjoyable walk.
